McGregor Manufacturing has a variety of CNC Lathes to meet your production needs. From an 8 axis CNC Swiss (1.25 diameter max capacity) for complex parts with the need for secondary milling operations, to a mid sized 2 axis Haas SL-30 for the machining of larger parts.
Our Citizen C32 8 axis Swiss lathe is ideally suited for producing complex parts with diameters not to exceed 1.25". The Swiss machine is unique in its ability to allow longer length parts that would otherwise create excessive chatter on a conventional CNC lathe. The Swiss machine accomplishes chatter mitigation through the use of a push through bushing to hold parts while they are being machined. The C32 is complete with live tooling which allows off center drilling which is not possible on a standard CNC lathe. Because of the many features unique to the Swiss machine run times on parts are reduced to a fraction of what would be necessary on a standard CNC lathe. In contrast to the Swiss machine our Haas SL-30 CNC turning center is utilized for larger and less complex parts. The Haas lathe is 2 axis yet still quite capable of a wide range of parts. For parts up to 12" in diameter the Haas is the tool for the job.

Parts created on a turning center (lathe) can consist of an extensive range of materials.
